Sugar and spice and everything nice.

I am the Mom of three boys, dirty, smelly, burping, roasting, boys. They are so angelic......when they are asleep. Thats one of the reasons I love my job! I get time with sweet little girls. Don't get me wrong, when I am with a pack of brothers, I feel right at home climbing trees and throwing rocks, but this is refreshing!

An old high school friend who has just moved back in town reconnected with me to photograph her newborn, Eloise. It was so nice to see a fellow RPCS alumnae as a Mom. As Eloise is her third child, and she is a pediatrician, it is not surprising that she was as calm and soothing with her newborn as they come. Way to go, Nicole!

Look out world, I have a new intern.
Meet Quin.
He is handsome, clever, young, and very talented. Quin helped me photograph his new baby brother, James, born last Thursday. I have been photographing his family since Quin was a newborn and we always have a blast capturing how loving this family is. Despite the snow falling outside, this home was warm and cozy with affection.

The Little Shoebox

If you haven't visited Ruxton's gem, The Little Shoebox, you simply must. I have frequented the shop for years and admired their beautiful shoes and jewelry.
When owner Emilie Blaze, hired me to photograph their store, staff and beautiful products for her newly designed website and social media, I jumped at the chance.

Perhaps if you have forgotten your Valentine, you should visit the store today! They will hook you up! My husband bought me a gift certificate a few years ago from the store and I cherished it!

Snow days are beautiful......so is Mason.

So what do you do when a giant snowstorm arrives leaving nowhere for a senior shoot that HAS to happen before a yearbook deadline? Go to the Observatory!
I love this place! For a small donation, I have shot in here during a torrential rainstorm or when the ground is covered in snow. It has saved me several times when "the shoot must go on!"

Emma

Meet Emma.
Emma and her Mom hired me to photograph her the other day for her senior shoot.
She is adorable,  happy, creative and do sweet with her Mom. I talked them into a few shots together too, love! I will  certainly look forward to when my 13 year old actually wants a picture of us together when we clear out of the woods we have just entered....
the teenage years.
Congrats on your senior year, Emma!

September sunflowers

I cannot tell you how much time and research I do every year looking for perfect sunflowers for pictures. I have clients who call me and specifically want them for their shoot. One year, a field might be planted and the farmer welcomes the public, the next year, they don't plant. This year, a groom actually planted the sunflower field for his bride and made an amazing backdrop for the entire wedding ceremony. Thank you, Justin. You just made my job really easy. I loved shooting the wedding for this adorable couple. Enjoy!
