one of my favorite things to edit is the "goofy shots" that most people would scrap |
As I was editing this shoot, I didn't know what I was going to come up with. It was an overcast chilly day, way too early in the season to be this cold, but as Michelle and I decided, we should go for it anyway. There is too much rain in the forecast, why not make the most of it? I'm glad she did.
The scroll of images go form moody intensity to upside down first grade fun to goofy outtakes that steal the show. What a range these kids have! First of all, the red hair is so fun to play with in the editing process, it is like the entree that the whole meal is worked around. The amount of rain we have had (are we in Ireland?) has made for beautiful green lush grass. The perfect backdrop for a couple of red heads.
Our main intention on this shoot was for a holiday card and an image for a large flat screen panel cover from
www.visionartgalleries.com through a local store Gramophone. But hopefullly, they will have hard time deciding which image to use. But my vote for the Christmas card: the outtakes. These kids love each other so much. At this age, so many siblings seem to live together through grumbles and shoves. There was so much respect here despite the ages. I think this last triptych of the kids really shows their love.
